After a 2020, 2021 cancellation and a 2022 postponement, the Town of Virden, Southwest Cougars and 2022 Telus Cup Planning committee are excited to be a second-time host community (2012) to the Telus Cup Western Regionals U18 Championship which starts April 28^th

The Telus Cup West Regional formerly the Air Canada Cup West Regional is the final qualifying round for the Telus Cup. The tournament presently involves the Manitoba AAA U18 Hockey League, the winner of the Hockey Northwestern Ontario Telus Cup Playoffs, and the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League.

The tournament will run Thursday, April 28^th until Sunday, May 1^st at the Tundra Oil and Gas Place located at 900 Fifth Avenue S, Virden, Manitoba. (home to the Virden Oil Capitals of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.)
